What is a
Life Care Plan?
A Life Care Plan is a detailed document that outlines the medical, rehabilitative, and supportive care needs of an individual who has suffered a serious injury, chronic illness, or disability. It is typically created by a Life Care Planner, who may be a medical professional such as a nurse, physician, or rehabilitation specialist. A Life Care Plan is important because it ensures the individual receives the necessary care and services for their lifetime, helps families and caregivers plan financially and logistically, and serves as evidence in legal cases for determining future medical and support costs

Lost Earning
Capacity Report
A Lost Earning Capacity Report is an expert analysis that calculates how much money a person could have earned in the future if they hadn’t been injured or killed due to an accident, medical malpractice, or another wrongful act. It differs from lost wages, which only accounts for the actual income a person has already lost. Instead, lost earning capacity considers future potential earnings based on the individual’s career path, skills, education, and economic trends.
Lost Household
Services Report
A Lost Household Services Report calculates the economic value of the household tasks that an injured or deceased person can no longer perform. These services include cooking, cleaning, childcare, home maintenance, grocery shopping, and other non-market labor that contributes to a household’s well-being. Most states also require that the future value of household services be calculated in present value.
Life Care Valuation
Report
A Life Care Valuation Report is a detailed financial assessment that estimates the future medical and care-related costs for a person who has suffered a severe injury or disability. This report helps determine how much money the injured person will need to cover medical expenses, rehabilitation, home modifications, and other necessary care for the rest of their life.Forensic economists and life care planners work together to calculate these costs, considering inflation, medical advancements, and life expectancy. The report is essential in personal injury and medical malpractice cases to ensure the injured party receives fair compensation for their lifelong needs.
Vocational Report
A Vocational Analysis is an evaluation of an individual's ability to work, considering their education, work history, skills, physical and mental capabilities, and job market conditions. This analysis is typically conducted by a vocational expert (VE) or a rehabilitation specialist and is used to determine employability, earning capacity, and potential career options after an injury, disability, or other life-altering events.
